Jewelry connects to a special place in my heart. My grandfather was a beekeeper, and growing up, I would spend a lot of time seeing him work on his farm. He was very detail-oriented, making sure every colony of honeybees was in its proper place and tidy. From him, I learned the importance of little details. He was as sweet as the honey and berries he would pack for me for my summer breaks. For my 23rd birthday, he got me a beautiful green emerald necklace. I loved this necklace; I never took it off. It meant more to me, knowing how hard he must have worked for it after spending so much time with him at the farm.

Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after from pre-existing health conditions. The last memory I had was receiving this necklace from him. It gained even more value than the precious metals it was made from. Since I never took it off, it began to lose its shine, gained scratches, and finally broke into two.

I was devastated. I managed to fix it, but only for it to be stored in a box and never truly be worn daily. This is where I had an epiphany and an idea to make jewelry that could be worn every day. Not just for a special night, but daily. After years of saving up and doing research, I took the leap. Bee & Berry was born, named in memory of my late grandfather and his everlasting love.
